Paulo de Vries Paulo de Vries · AI systems engineer · Amsterdam

I build AI systems that hold up — and ship like a founder.

Production autonomous-agent systems, built solo. I also understand the business they serve: I ran experimentation at a major European news publisher and operate a 42-site web fleet on my own.

01 — What I've built

Autonomous agents · flagship

AcePilot — a self-improving multi-agent OS

Built solo: a safety-invariant layer, an evolution engine, task-ranking "oracles," cross-session coordination, and crash-recovery — running unattended across 42 of my own projects. Not prompt-wrapping; reliable agent systems with guardrails, state, and orchestration. This is the part most "AI engineers" can't show.

Developer product · live

TaskPrio ↗

A task queue built for AI agents — MCP server + REST API + multi-agent orchestration, structured per-project context agents read on every pickup, and lease-based concurrency so parallel agents don't collide. I dogfood it across the fleet daily — it's live at taskprio.com.

A 42-site web fleet

Static-export Next.js on Cloudflare / Vercel / GitLab. One site wins ~1,100 organic visitors/month from a single dataset turned into hundreds of answer-ready pages; another grows on citations straight from ChatGPT & DuckDuckGo. I codified the method.

Experimentation · CRO

Experimentation at a major European news publisher

I run A/B testing & conversion programs — and build the tooling around them. The rare combination: I can run the experimentation program and build the systems that power it.

02 — What I'm betting on

In 2026 the cost of building collapsed and the cost of attention rose. Shipping is no longer the moat. The two scarce skills now: making AI systems that actually hold up in the real world — and earning trust once they exist. I spent two years getting obsessively good at the first. I'm going public to get good at the second.

I'm always up for talking with people building with AI agents — whether you're shipping something, wrestling with the same problems, or just figuring it out. If that's you, reach out.
